About the Department:

The Department of Economics is one of the oldest departments established along with the Department of Commerce that serves as an allied department . It offers subjects such as Business Economics, Indian Economic Development, International Trade etc.

 To upskill the optimum utilization of  resources and opportunities  through teaching economic principles for the students who are living in  downtrodden and underprivileged social status.

Mission:

To practice teaching the real world applications of economic principles on a day-to-day basis for uplifting the students’ social and economic status.

Objectives:

●       To understand how the economic machine works and to take right economic decisions in various circumstances.

●       To teach optimum utilization of scarce resources which have alternative uses and to realize real world economic problems and its impact on a business.

●       To furnish students with analytical tools for evaluating economic policies and to inspire awareness of socio-economic challenges.
