HOD – Visual Communication
She began her career as Television News Reader in Doordarshan in the year 1993. Soon she began reading news in All India Radio as well. Currently she works as a news presenter at Raj TV. As a professor she has been teaching Tamil since 2008 and received a doctorate from the University of Madras in 2013. She is an active participant in public debates and hosts events. Dr. A. Nazeema is a recipient of the famous Tamil Nithi Award from Kamban Kalagam. She has also received Thiruvalluvar award, Umaru Pulavar award and many more awards for her contribution to Tamil. The “Silver Jubilee Award in Tamil News Reading” was conferred on her in 2018, in recognition of her 27 years of contribution to News Reading by the Tamil Anchors Association.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The Department of B.Sc Visual Communication, popularly known as B.Sc Viscom is an undergraduate degree course offered in the field of mass communication. Visual Communication is a medium to transmit ideas and information using imagery and symbols. This 3-year Bachelor’s degree can be pursued after completing HSC or equivalent from a recognized board. The programme is divided into 3 years and six semesters, usually. Students get to learn about films, graphic editing, writing, photography, design, human communication, acting, media trends, etc.

With the Indian youth inclining towards professional degree courses, Journalism and Mass Communication fields have become a great attraction for students. With this popularity, B.Sc. Visual Communication has also become a great preference for students. ELIGIBILITY

  • In order to get admission in B.Sc. Visual Communication course Students must be holding a Higher Secondary Certificate from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 in Science stream with Electronic Media as a compulsory subject.
  • The minimum percentage requirements vary from institution to institution.
