About the Department

The Department of Mathematics was established in 1975. It offers a UG degree which anchors on providing students with a strong foundation in mathematical principles and problem-solving skills. The University led curriculum strengthens the fundamental knowledge in areas like calculus, algebra and more advanced topics in core and applied mathematics.

To develop competent graduates in mathematics with strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, who can contribute effectively to academia, industry, and society.

Mission

The department provides both basic and advanced knowledge in pure and applied mathematics, while strengthening students’ analytical and computational skills through a mix of theory and practice. Also to encourage a passion for mathematics, it prepares students for various career paths, and promotes values like integrity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
