NATIONAL CADET CORPS
Introduction
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary organization open to school and college students across India. Headquartered in New Delhi, it provides basic military training in small arms and parade activities. Cadets are not liable for active military service after completing their training but receive preference in certain selections.
About College
The NCC (Army) wing was introduced in our college in the academic year 1984-85 under the 13 (TN) BN NCC, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010. In a progressive move towards inclusivity, girl students have also been enrolled in NCC since 2004. Once cadets are enrolled, three years of training in NCC is compulsory. This training develops discipline, leadership, and a sense of national service among students.
